A database of Chemical Science institutions and industries in Kerala

We developed this database to identify sampling units (entities related to Chemical Science education and career in Kerala) for the study using two approaches:

  1. Using search engines and visiting official databases of government departments and institutional websites.

  2. By asking faculties, researchers and students in the Chemical Science field to supplement the list generated by the first approach.

We hope that this database will be useful for researchers in the field and students who wish to pursue their careers in Chemical Sciences.

Info-graphic with sampling unit classification (public, private, co-operative) and institution types (educational institutions, labs, industries, manufacturing units, research institutions).

SOURCES:

  1. High Schools and Higher Secondary Schools

For schools in the state, we used the public database ‘Sametham - Kerala School Databank’, developed by KITE (Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education), Government of Kerala. Since this database is already in the public domain and huge in size, we are not reproducing it along with our database. Please use the dataset from the original source.

  1. Kendriya Vidyalayas & Navodayas

This database was developed using KVS Directory (Link) and NVS Directory (Link).

All other databases were developed using internet search; validation by professionals, researchers, students and teachers of respective institutions; and additional supplementation by their suggestions.
